We have a coffee morning on the second Thursday of the month at the United Reformed Church at 10.30 am. We are always enthusiastic to find out more about the many different social opportunities there are in the area that members might want to consider. Some may involve using the bus, others may be car sharing, while others may be in the village.
We spend part of the time together as a group looking at any activities that the group may be interested in, and these are always included on the Coffee and Social Group Programme Page. For each event someone will volunteer to be the contact person. There are times when numbers for an event have to be limited.
Trip on the Dymchurch Railway with friends from the Coffee Club
As important as the group discussion is equally important is the time members spend chatting to each other. This is the time when other social activities are discussed which may only involve 1 or 2 people. It is an opportunity to talk to someone who may have similar interest and arrange to do something with them. Some examples have been coach trip to Stratford on Avon, cinema trip to see the Ballet or Silver Screen, or see a play at The Mercury or Headgate Theatres.
***Coffee and Social Group Members do as much or as little as they want. ***
We are an open group and want to welcome new members, especially if you are new to the Tiptree u3a. We are happy for new members to come to the coffee morning as a guest, so they can decide whether the group is for them.
To find out more please use the enquiry link at the top of the page to contact the Group Organiser.
