The Genealogy Group aims to help you research your family tree.
Whether you are complete beginner, or have had some experience of researching your tree but have now hit a brick wall, then it is hoped these group meetings will help you. Perhaps you may even make some surprising discoveries about your ancestors!
Our meetings are on the 1st Wednesday of each month between 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm in the hall at Tiptree Community Hall.
It costs approximately £10 per person for 5 months payable in advance. Sometimes it's less than this depending on number of members. But don't be put off by this, if you don't like your first meeting we'll refund it.
The room is well equipped with tables, chairs, Wi-Fi access and a large screen we use with our digital projector monitor for tutorials and practical online research.
To find out more please use the enquiry link at the top of the page to contact the Group Organiser.
Forthcoming dates
We encourage input to meetings by members. The next meeting in November features a talk by one of our members and his family connection to the British Monarchy. In December we will make our Agenda for 2026.
