Tai Chi

Status:Active, open to new members
Organiser:
When: On Wednesdays 1:30 pm-3:30 pm
3rd and 4th Wednesday each month
Venue: St Luke's Church Hall
Cost: currently £2 per session

The Tai Chi group meets on the 3rd and 4th Wednesday of each month. On the 3rd Wednesday, we meet from 2.30 - 3.30 and on the 4th Wednesday, we have two groups: 1.30 - 2.30 and 2.30 - 3.30. All meetings take place in St Luke’s Church hall.  There will be a nominal charge to cover the cost of hiring the hall; currently that is £2 per session.

I am not assuming that anyone in the group already knows how to do the moves or that you are a regular Tai Chi practitioner so each session starts with learning some simple individual moves and recapping the moves we might have forgotten how to do. We then finish with a "flow" - that is a set of movements carried out one after another in a flowing continuous movement.

Tai Chi is a very gentle form of exercise and can be done sitting in a chair if you have mobility or injury problems; we do not do anything that requires strength or high levels of flexibility.   I have been practising Tai Chi for many years and would love to have your company in our sessions.
